On the other hand, India's captain, Suryakumar Yadav, also expected the dew but chose to bat first, eager to challenge his bowlers with a wet ball. When the formalities were done, Bangladesh won the toss and elected to bowl.

Delhi, in its current form, has transformed into a high-scoring T20 venue, a stark contrast to the slow, low pitches of the past. Under normal circumstances, bowling first in a must-win game seems logical. However, during the IPL, five teams chose to chase after winning the toss, only to end up losing the match.

Bangladesh made one change, recalling the impressive Tanzim Hasan, who stood out as their top bowler during the T20 World Cup earlier this year. Left-arm pacer Shoriful Islam was left out. India, meanwhile, stuck with the same XI that secured a comfortable victory in the series opener in Gwalior.
