Anne Hathaway has confirmed her return for Princess Diaries 3 alongside director Adele Lim.
Miracles do happen! Development on “Princess Diaries 3” is progressing, with Adele Lim, known for her work on “Joy Ride,” “Crazy Rich Asians,” and “Raya and the Last Dragon,” signed on to direct the film.
Lim expressed her excitement about joining the production of the third installment in the beloved Princess Diaries franchise, saying, “As a devoted fan of the original film, I’m thrilled to help bring this new chapter to life. We can't wait to share its core themes of female empowerment, joy, and mentorship with audiences around the world.”
The film is being produced by Debra Martin Chase, who launched the franchise starring Anne Hathaway as Mia Thermopolis, the relatable teen-turned-queen of Genovia, and Julie Andrews as her regal grandmother. Hathaway will also serve as a producer through her company, Somewhere Pictures. Naia Cucukov, Lim’s producing partner at 100 Tigers, will executive produce alongside Melissa Stack.
